Precautionary Foundation Air Sealing Strategies Training
This ONLINE Radon Precautionary Measure Installation Strategies course is a 4 hour training designed to instruct and review information regarding Radon as well as specific strategies to reduce radon exposure and infiltration. Attendees will participate in a Virtual, Instructor led course following guidance and requirements set out in WPN 17-7.

Course Content & Objectives:
- Radon Overview
- Describe radon characteristics
- Visually recognize the location of different radon zones
- Sources and Risks
- Describe the mechanisms that move radon into the house
- List the sources of radon
- List one major health risk from radon exposure
- Rules and Precautionary Measures
- Recognize the EPA Radon Action level
- Locate applicable weatherization rules regarding radon
- Identify key precautionary measure installation strategies
- Describe procedures for installation of precautionary measure installation strategies
Course Requirements:
- Technology:
- Ideally: One student with one computer connected to the internet
- Ability to download documents
- Use of Zoom meetings on computer
- BPC provided online Learning Management System – Moodle link to be sent by BPC
- Expectation of attendance and class participation
Prerequisites:
- Formal training and/or experience on Airsealing techniques
- Familiarity with basics of airflow
Assessments and Grading:
- All assessments will be multiple choice question style
- In-progress assessment activities throughout
- One final assessment
- Candidate must achieve a 70% or higher to pass the final assessment
