We’re hiring an Insulator with at least 5 years of experience in residential insulation. The ideal candidate will have significant experience working with the Washington State Department of Commerce Low Income Weatherization Specifications. The work includes air sealing, ductsealing, installing vapor barriers, insulating stick built and mobile homes, dense packing walls, blowing cellulose and fiberglass loose fill, installing bath fans, doing blower door tests, and completing paperwork including diagnostic and combustion safety forms.
Duties
- Create a safe, professional work environment for team members, clients and the public.
- Interact with customers in a polite, professional manner.
- Perform all aspects of insulation, including floors, walls, attics, and testing to DOC specs.
- Work with operations manager to complete insulation projects as assigned.
- Supervise apprentice crew members.
- Safely and efficiently use power tools including chop saws, drills, table saws, etc. as well as hand tools.
- Lift, carry, and push heavy items (up to 60 pounds).
- Work effectively in dark, dirty, cramped spaces; work is often performed in crawl spaces and attics.
- Assist other team members as needed.
- Safely drive a company truck through narrow, hilly residential streets.
- Maintain accurate paperwork.
- Carry out written and verbal instructions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience needed
- At least 5 years of job experience
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Strong record of jobsite safety, happy clients and great communication
- Ability to pass a drug test; CAZ Construction is a drug free workplace
Pay
$25 to $35 per hour DOE. Four-day work week. 5 weeks PTO. Employer-paid health insurance. Employer-matched retirement program.

POSITION SUMMARY The Weatherization Building Analyst will travel to clients’ homes in Kitsap County using a company vehicle to perform home energy assessments and health and safety inspections. With a combination of on-the-job and certification training paid for by Kitsap Community Resources, the Building Analyst will evaluate the energy impact and safety of building components. Duties include but are not limited to diagnostic testing, data analysis, data entry, inspection of insulation and structural integrity, taking measurements, sketching floor plans, identifying heat sources, combustion safety testing, simple installations, communicating with clients, and working with contractors and providing a detailed scope of work. We are the leading contractor for King County Housing Authority, HomeWise in the City of Seattle, Snohomish County Human Services, The Housing Authority of Skagit County, The Opportunity Council of Whatcom and Island Counties, and lastly the Community Energy Challenge. When working with these agencies, the scopes of work are all encompassing and are typically a whole house approach. These projects often times need to be looked after by a Project Manager.
The Project Manager is responsible for doing pre-audits, developing production paperwork and change orders as needed, doing combustion safety diagnostics, in-progress inspections, installation team management, and final inspections. Our Project Managers are provided with everything it takes to be successful to include training and certifications, take home vehicle, uniforms, a great team of CSR’s offering support, and a state of the art operating system for managing and running your jobs.

You are one of the biggest parts of our customer’s journey. We specialize in existing home weatherization, so no new construction. We install attic, crawl and wall insulation to include the sealing of ductwork, venting of bath and kitchen fans, upgrading attic and crawl venting and removing old or damaged insulation. Most of the installs we do take one or two days, offering piece work or prevailing wage. All employees on our production team are highly trained employees of Arrow, we do not employ day or cash workers.

| Voucher Processing. Process all types of HomeWise vouchers promptly and accurately. Monitor weekly for intents and affidavits, ensuring timely processing of payments within 2 weeks of completed documentation. Single-family Weatherization Bid Price List. Update the list semi-annually to align with L&I Prevailing Wage updates. Grant Budgets and Monitoring. Collaborate with program manager to prepare grant budgets and ensure accurate updates in HomeWise Database (HWDB). Monitor grant expenditures and coordinate with Finance and Auditors to ensure projects adhere to grant timeframes. Databases and Data Entry. Manage HWDB system enhancements, data processing, and hardware/software needs. Act as project manager for systems design, development, and implementation projects. Coordinate data entry tasks, including uploading data to various databases (e.g., WIDS, ECOS). Serve as liaison with external agencies (e.g., Washington State Commerce, PSE) for data-related matters. Troubleshoot data errors and collaborate with database developers for enhancements. Annual Reports and Reporting. Prepare Annual Reports and work plans for funders and community partners. Generate standing and ad hoc reports as requested by partners. Prepare and upload HWDB reports for external partners (e.g., SCL). Team Lead. Develop work plans and goals for Admin Specialist staff in alignment with team objectives, priorities and goals. Lead system user groups in system design, development, and implementation. - Remove, install, and replace various building materials as directed— including assisting in installing insulation, doors, windows, flooring, skirting, vents, caulking, weather-stripping

Pay and Benefits

We work from Tacoma to Bellingham servicing multiple government agencies, non-profit companies, and private clients with a focus on upgrading a home’s energy efficiency and comfort while improving the health of our customers. The crew lead would work within a small, efficient crew that handles nearly all aspects of the job from ordering materials to post-work diagnostic testing.
Crew Lead Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Implement company and industry safety guidelines
- Order materials
- Manage work flow
- Work alongside crew members to set work pace
- Inspect and maintain quality of work

Crew Lead Qualifications:

Pay and Benefits
Starting hourly rate depends on experience and ranges between $33.75-$36.50 per hour. Most jobs include prevailing wages that would be paid at higher rates.
